A rainy day at Java Beach… This is actually my favorite kind of day at JB.  Don’t get me wrong, I love the sun and the jammin’ scene when the sun is out.  But, there’s something about the rain that makes the frenetic establishment(s) calm.  Calmer.   The vortex is quieted just a bit and the N-Judah slowly pulls the people up and down Judah Street and no one seems in too big of a hurry.  The rain has chased everyone away from the beach.  The thunderous waves pound the desolate beach and it’s magical.  We haven’t officially named our new espresso blend, but one name we have toyed with is the VORTEX.  The new espresso represents the culmination of a lot of our two year coffee journey.  It’s chocolatey with a slight punch that keeps on giving.  Coffee has all these fabulous adjectives similar to wine.  I will pepper them in here as I find them fun.  But, sometimes they are a tad over the top.  Rest assured, the alchemy of beans blended provide a whirling feeling that is powerful.  And, most importantly, tastes awesome alone or with milk.
